Day 0. The calm before the storm.

The day before One Lap of America begins is always a little anxious, and a little slow all at the same time.
This morning, we got the oil changed in the Corvette, picked up a few last minute items at the store, and got the decals on the car and went through tech inspection. It sounds like a lot, but since it's our fourth year, we got through it pretty quickly.

Here's the car at the Tire Rack headquarters in South Bend, Indiana, they are one of the major event sponsors and we really appreciate their generosity and hospitality. Where else can you get a set of tires for 25% off, and get to wear them out on a skidpad all in one spot?
Tomorrow is Day 1 of the event, we are looking forward to these events:

  • Wet Skid Pad at Tire Rack's South Bend Headquarters.
  • Time Trial at Grissom Air Force Base also in Indiana.
  • Passage Control at the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, KY.
  • And then at the end of the day, we'll head off to Memphis, TN for the next day's events.

Thanks for following us!
